![]() A male reported he was walking east on Alpine Rd at around 4:30 pm when a black mid-sized truck purposely veered onto the gravel shoulder towards him. RECKLESS DRIVING - On September 4, 2023, at around 5:19 pm, deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Alpine Rd and Bellfountain Rd for a report of Reckless Driving. Deputies looked at the car and it had been scratched by an unknown object on most of the car. A resident explained that someone had scratched his car. The cyclist was transported to the hospital by Corvallis Medics.ĬRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3 - On September 5, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 600 block of Commercial Street for criminal mischief. The driver tried to avoid the cyclist but struck the front driver`s side of the vehicle and then again near the back of the vehicle. The cyclist did not stop at the stop sign and went to continue east on Highway 20 as she did not see oncoming traffic. A bicyclist was riding her bicycle south on Kings Valley Highway near Highway 20. ![]() Holguin was placed under arrest on the confirmed warrant and transported to the Linn County Jail for booking.ĪCCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On Saturday, Augat approximately 12:35 P.M., a driver was traveling east on Highway 20 near Kings Valley Highway. Deputies later learned from dispatch that Holguin was DWS-Violation and he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Linn County Circuit Court for FTA-Unlawful use of a Firearm, No Bail. WARRANT ARREST - On September 3rd, 2023 at about 1:16 pm, deputies stopped Augustin Holguin, 59, while he was riding his motorcycle for suspicion of not being a licensed rider. The driver of the green 1995 Ford F250 was cited for Driving While Suspended Violation and for Careless Driving for falling asleep at the wheel. One of the occupants was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for his injuries. It was reported that a single vehicle had left the roadway, flipped over, and had two people trapped in the vehicle. The resident has contacted the post office to forward his mail and closed the accounts related to the incident.ĪCCIDENT VEHICLE INJURY - On September 4, 2023, around 4:30 PM, deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with injuries, and possible entrapment on Highway 99 near Guerber Lane, Corvallis. THEFT 2 - On September 5, 2023, a resident reported outgoing mail was stolen from the 4800 block of NW Palestine Ave. Deputies spoke to the neighbor, who said it could have been one of his friends that stole the gas but agreed to pay for the stolen gas. Their gas cap had been left on the tire, that matched a can in their neighbor`s yard. The residents reported that someone stole gas from their truck the previous night. THEFT 3 FROM VEHICLE - On September 5, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of North 7th Street, Monroe for theft. The man agreed to continue to keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction and not shoot towards a roadway or any structures beyond his own property. Deputies contacted the man who was attempting to kill a gopher with a shotgun on his own property. SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE - On September 9, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the 2200 block of NE Conifer Blvd, Corvallis, for a report of a man with a gun sitting in a chair in his yard. The resident later deposited $8570.00 into a bitcoin ATM to close out the warrant. A resident in the 3400 block of Scenic Dr, Albany, was contacted by someone claiming to be “BCSO Captain Carley,” who told him he had an FTA warrant. THEFT 1 DECEPTION - On September 6, 2023, deputies were dispatched to a report of Fraud. Purvis arranged for someone else to come drive his vehicle home. Purvis was however issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody for Driving while suspended at the misdemeanor level. During deputy contact with Purvis they found no indication he was impaired. Purvis was called in as a possibly impaired driver. Shane Purvis, 42, was driving a 2006 Dodge Ram East on Highway 20 from Newport. ![]() DWS MIS - On, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of South 14th Street in Philomath.
